Event by Alliance For African American Health In Central Texas, Borderland Rainbow Center and Latinos for a Secure Retirement
The convening will highlight the past and present impacts that white supremacy ideology and actions have on the ability of marginalized and communities of color to accumulate wealth. While the inequality in wealth building is evident in day-to-day living, it becomes even more pronounced as individuals age and have less income from working. Our panelist will address specific events that disrupted or prevented wealth-building in black, brown and LGBTQIA communities, wealth building actions individuals and families can pursue despite the obstacles faced, and public policy needed to dismantle racist systems that perpetuate wealth inequality. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a lively discussion.
The event is hosted by the Alliance For African American Health Of Central TX & Borderland Rainbow Center via a partnership coalesced by NCOA and Latinos for a Secure Retirement to bring resources to help families apply for money-saving benefits through the NCOA BenefitsCheckupTool© to live with dignity, purpose, and security.
