COMMUNITY EVENT: Borderland Rainbow Center Movie Night

In order to continue celebrating Pride Month, the Borderland Rainbow Center is hosting a movie night. They will be screening: Wigstock: The Movie and Jeffrey on June 23rd at 1 pm in The Foundation Room located at 333 N. Oregon. 

Wigstock: The Movie is a 1995 documentary film focusing on Wigstock, the annual drag music festival that had been held New York City's East Village through the 1980s and 1990s. The film presents a number of performances from the 1994 festival, including Crystal Waters, Dee-Lite, Jackie Beat, Debbie Harry, Leigh Bowery and Joey Arias and the Dueling Bankheads. The film also captures a performance by RuPaul at the height of his mainstream fame during the 1990s. 

Jeffrey is a 1995 American gay romantic comedy film directed by Christopher Ashley It is based on a play depicting the life and times of Richard Jeffrey byPaul Rudnick, who also wrote the screenplay.
